Education on Sustainable Agriculture

The State Key Laboratory (SKL) of Agrobiotechnology at CUHK has been holding different series of public events, including academic talks on agriculture and food production and seminars on local farming and the importance of intercropping with soybeans to improve crop yields. For example, in 2024, the Education Bureau and the SKL of Agrobiotechnology jointly organized an Innovation and Technology seminar ‘The Journey of Soybean Research’, with secondary school students and teachers sharing their experience in promoting STEAM education through soybean cultivation activities and soybean-themed activities.

The Summer Research Placement Programme 2025 was held to forge closer relationships and strengthen research collaboration with the laboratory's partner SKL at the Northwest A&F University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, South China Agricultural University, Lanzhou University and Gansu Agricultural University.
