In face of pressing climate and environmental changes, resources that humans need to survive and flourish, including food, water and other services provided natural ecosystems, are under unprecedented threats. The Mini-Symposium on Global Food, Water and Environmental Sustainability brings together CUHK and University of Exeter (Exeter) scholars to share their research findings and insights on how these resources can be better managed to ENSURE economic, social and environmental sustainability.

Key themes of the mini-symposium include:

  • Global food security, climate change and resilience: An international perspective
  • Hydrological significance of rock glaciers: Potential water resources in a warming climate
  • Global forest management to reap triple benefits for economy, health and climate

The mini-symposium is organised by the Joint Centre for Environmental Sustainability and Resilience (ENSURE).
