The Launch of SDSN’s 10th Edition of the Sustainable Development Report

Created on 25 June 2025

The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) announces the launch of the 10th edition of the Sustainable Development Report (SDR).

Produced by the SDSN’s SDG Transformation Center, the SDR showcases a strong global commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDR2025 presents a comprehensive global assessment of progress towards achieving the SDGs.

Key takeaways:

  • Commitment remains strong: 190 of 193 UN Member States have participated in Voluntary National Reviews.
  • Fastest progress: Since 2015, East and South Asian countries show the most improvement — notably Nepal, Cambodia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, and Mongolia.
  • Conflicts, structural vulnerabilities, and limited fiscal space continue to hinder progress.
  • Financing the future: The Global Financial Architecture must be overhauled to fund global public goods and sustainable development — a priority of the upcoming 4th International Conference on Financing for Development.
