SDSN Hong Kong is the Supporting Organization of ReThink HK to be hosted on 11-12 September 2025 at HKCEC. Stepping into its 6th edition, ReThink HK is the city’s flagship event for sustainable business, a large-scale, cross-sector platform that champions transformation and showcases game-changing innovation.
Ada Chan, SDSN Hong Kong Network Manager, will speak in a panel session titled ‘SDG’s at a Crossroads: Has Adoption and Integration Failed or Can We Still Catalyse Impact?’ as the moderator on the first day of ReThink Hong Kong 2025.
Abstract:
As the midpoint of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development approaches, this session critically examines progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). While offering a universal framework for addressing global challenges, the adoption and integration of SDGs into business strategies, government policies and community actions remain uneven. The discussion will assess whether SDGs are falling short of their ambitious targets or if opportunities still exist to catalyze meaningful impact. Barriers such as misalignment, limited funding and accountability gaps will be explored alongside success stories and innovative approaches that demonstrate potential for accelerated progress.
