‘Dump Less, Save More, Recycle Right’, slogans on recycling are no strangers to Hong Kong citizens. Yet, the industry itself and the culture of recycling in Hong Kong are still far from catching up. With the recent establishment of ‘GREEN@COMMUNITY’, the government has apparently taken heed of recycling and environment industry. Under the pressure of land resources and the growing waste loads, more have come to realise the importance of waste reduction and recycling, but the ‘how’ remains as a great challenge. In this SDG Forum, Mr Harold YIP and Prof. Kin Che LAM will engage in a dialogue and share their experiences from the field. Both speakers look forward to interacting with the audience and thinking about the challenges and opportunities of the recycling industry in Hong Kong. This talk is highly relevant to a number of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular, SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). The forum will be conducted in Cantonese; all are welcome. Online Registration: |
