On 10–21 November 2025, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) will be in Belém, Brazil, for the 30th Climate Conference (COP30)—the first-ever UN Climate Conference held in the Amazon, one of the planet’s most critical and fragile ecosystems.
Ahead of COP30, the SDSN has launched this year’s COP30 Resource Hub and is mobilizing its network around 4 key priorities:
- Conserve tropical forests: Promote science-based solutions and integrate Indigenous knowledge across the tropical forest regions in the Amazon, Congo Basin, and Borneo.
- Scale climate finance: Identify novel mechanisms to support the US$1.3 trillion agreed for mitigation and adaptation in developing countries.
- Strengthen national and regional climate action: Support ambitious, actionable, and integrated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
- Accelerate a just energy transition: Encourage multinational cooperation to triple renewable energy capacity and double energy efficiency.
